CFT means cubic feet. Convert all three dimensions consistently before multiplying. A foot contains 12 inches, so a cubic foot contains 12 × 12 × 12 = 1,728 cubic inches.
Use the formula
With inches: CFT = length × width × thickness × pieces ÷ 1,728. With feet: multiply the three dimensions in feet and pieces. With millimetres: divide the result by 28,316,846.592.
A worked example
For 60 × 10 × 1 inches and 360 pieces: 60 × 10 × 1 × 360 ÷ 1,728 = 150 CFT. This is rectangular geometric volume.
Separate volume from price
